Reports built from the work you already log
Profitability, utilisation, over-servicing and a revenue forecast, worked out from the same proposals, time and rates your team uses every day.
The report nobody has time to build
Most agency reports start with an export. Time from one tool, invoices from another, rates from a spreadsheet. Then someone spends an afternoon making the rows line up.
So the reports get run once a quarter, if that, and the decisions they should inform get made on instinct.
In Rofinery the numbers are already joined up, so a report is something you open, not something you build.
The questions reports should answer
Each report starts with a question you'd actually ask.
Which work makes money?
The profitability report breaks revenue, cost and margin down by client, project, discipline, job title and person, at rate card cost or actual cost.
Where are we giving time away?
Over-servicing shows hours logged beyond each project's budget, plus the cost of non-billable time, by person, project and job title, with a drill-down into each.
Is the team busy on the right work?
Utilisation compares each person's billable hours with their working hours and their own target, by person, job title or discipline.
How's the year shaping up?
The revenue forecast tracks the year against your target by month, quarter or year, following your financial year, with live, pending and speculative revenue shown separately.

Questions about reporting
You choose, report by report, for each role. By default admins and advisors see the financial reports, contributors see the time reports, and freelancers see none.
Yes. Reports download as CSV files, so you can take the figures into a spreadsheet or share them.
Yes. Set the month your financial year starts, and the forecast and pipeline figures follow it.
Most reports work from your time and proposals straight away. Targets for utilisation, margin and revenue make the comparisons more useful, and admins set those in team settings.
